In the light of all this MCR sadness, which is pretty much making me want to throw myself of a building or something, has anyone noticed that The Phoenix video is eerily similar to the music video for Honey, This Mirror Isn’t Big Enough For The Two Of Us?

(Not being racist, but) the Asian woman torturing Patrick… seems familiar.

FOB can never, ever replace or even hope to measure up to the symbol of hope that MCR was. They’re amazing, but in a very separate way. However, this video and the lyrics, talking about raising us up from our ashes, makes me think of MCR.

My Chemical Romance has always been about the “spirit of rock n’ roll” or whatever, and FOB’s new album is about “saving rock n’ roll”. I mean, if FOB knew about the split and didn’t warn us I’ll still punch them in their faces if I ever see them, but still…

Makes me think. That maybe they’re trying to carry us forward, instead of leaving us floundering in sadness. Though it’s pretty much impossible, the effort is the most heartwarming thing I’ve seen in the wake of MCR’s break-up.
